A modest proposal: Tax loophole environmental preserves

Chile

Douglas Tompkins is a fucking genius. Doug founded The North Face, but he can be forgiven his bad fashion taste (he wishes he had this style) because he’s buying up land in Chile to protect it.

Doesn’t anyone see the big picture here? We can set up environmental reserves as tax shelters to increase the number of wealthy environmentalists.

  1. Jean Louis Matin Says:

    Mr Bono,

I was a lead designer of North Face’s ActiveWear mountain casual line. I challenge you to design a thread more amenable to the sudden temperature change that is “fashionable”. Gortex is a very limiting synthetic.

    Sincerely,
    Jean-Louis Matin

    Jean-Louis Matin:

One word for you sir: leather.

    Love,

    Bono

  3. Not important Says:

IS that what you spent all the Live8 money on Bono? Leather Jackets. Gortex is a good material because its waterproof, resistant, CHEAP, and it can look quite good. Your just an ugly little irish man

  4. X Says:

Bono, you´ve no clue on design, also you pretend to be an environmentalist and just give an answer as “leather”. Could you be more shallow?
You just sound as a rich wanker man. As you call Tony Blair, you’re more or less the same type. We’ll never see you in the struggle, because the real struggle is against rich frivolous like you. Participating in those campaigns as Live8 which was a corporation feast!, save the planet sponsored by Volvo and those people.
Please, don’t waste the opportunities you’ve got.
    Probably you can’t see.
